how can it be?

Took a few pictures this morning as we headed out the door to preschool. We decided last minute (as in 4 days ago) to enroll Seth as well. He's technically a month too young to be on a typical preschool schedule but a lady in our ward who runs her own gig was happy to take him. I felt a little guilty and sad dropping them off today but, ain't gonna lie, it was awesome roaming Costco by myself. I can't believe they have Christmas stuff out already.

Anyway, back to preschool. I swear, when I picked Seth up today, he seemed a whole year older. Where did my baby go? How can it be?

Who We Are

We are four Las Vegans, recently displaced to the greater Seattle area. The surrounding greenery and cooler temperatures are a welcome change. Having to live far from those we love is not. Brent is working his dream job downtown at PopCap Games. He finds pleasure in watching Smallville, imitating BofM heroes and satisfying his sweet tooth. Shayla continues working on that crazy little thing called motherhood. She finds pleasure in listening to meaningful music, hunting down a bargain and being on the receiving end of little boy kisses. Brighton is working on becoming the world's youngest chef. He finds pleasure in reading cookbooks, swinging at the park and navigating with Dad's GPS. Seth continues to work on becoming freed from disposable underpants (the move didn't do us any favors). He finds pleasure in building hot wheel tracks, gawking at little babies and eating cherry tomatoes.
